The “Just Women” exhibition represents Margot’s return to painting -
her passion put on hold for many years whilst raising her five children, For 12 years Margot has made a name for herself throughout Australia
with her unique artistic flair expressed in murals, Trompe l’oeil, faux
marbling, painted finishes and furniture. Her works are represented in many Australian interior design magazines
and newspapers. Margot’s 6 monthly sojourns in India, provide the solitude to create
colourful canvases stimulated by the vibrancy and vitality of that country. Her thoughts and feelings stirred from deep within are transposed onto
hand made cotton paper with acrylic and colourful Indian inks to give depth
to the female form. Her wicked sense of humour is evident in many of the works -
reflecting women’s ability to rise above the “pain” of life - “Bed of Roses”
is one of these joyous paintings. Self-taught artist Margot Nattrass’ Just Women collection is a true
celebration of women’s emotions and the resilience of the female spirit. Photos and prices for each of the pieces in the collection will be
